Elizabeth B. Soutter, Partner
Coaching more than 200 writers in the last five years, Soutter has taught creative writing at Boston University and journalism at Harvard Summer School. She currently teaches the Harvard Extension School’s first course on blogging.
Soutter holds a BA in political science with honors from Johns Hopkins University and is a graduate of their writing seminars program. She served as an intern at the NASA news room of the Johnson Space Center, Houston, Texas. In 1998 Soutter was named legislative assistant to Congressman Helen Chenoweth-Hage and then served as her press secretary and speech writer until the Congressman’s retirement in 2001.
Soutter hosted a daily two hour political talk radio show in Morehead City, North Carolina from 2001-2003, and was a freelance op-ed writer with columns appearing in the Raleigh News and Observer, the New Hampshire Union Leader, the Carteret County News-Times. Soutter started blogging in 2004. She is the author and owner of Motherhood is Not for Wimps. She has been featured in Parenting magazine, CNN.com and the Huffington Post.
Soutter is married to attorney Franklin Schwarzer, and they are the parents of three daughters under the age of eight.
David Caolo, Partner
Dave Caolo has over seven years’ experience as a blogger and web developer. He is expert in Apple and Microsoft design and support. Caolo currently serves as editor of the Unofficial Apple Weblog, a part of AOL’s Weblogs Inc. network. The blog features 10 writers who garner an average of 7 million monthly page views.
Caolo served for five years as IT Director at a residential school in Massachusetts. He has developed blogs and websites for a variety of clients including The Dialogue Australasia Network, and 2020 Starts Now — the official non-profit organization for the 400th Anniversary of the first permanent European settlement in Plymouth, MA.
Caolo has been published in the Journal of New England Technology as well as Cape and Plymouth magazine. He is the author of two blogs, DaveCaolo.com and Daddy Daze, has also blogged for Parenting Magazine and has guest lectured on technology and web design at the Harvard Extension School.
He is married to Mia, a special needs teacher in Chatham, MA and is the father of two young children.
